Its because it’s mostly teens on that app and they are more likely to follow attractive people as their hormones are all over the place. Also, nowadays being pretty is a talent, for example, Addison Rae. This generation cares too much about looks and yeah it’s disappointing.




However, you can try and make funny Tik Toks with original content. Personally I don't think teens should go on that app, as it lowers people self-esteem because it's just about race and looks.




I thought only urban people are using this app, but I also found that it was pretty famous in rural region too. What if a girl's private video exposing just her belly goes viral? How can she answer everyone? And I don't want to talk about the guys dressing up as girls and dancing at random songs.




So yeah there's nothing wrong with tik tok ban. But should bring awareness about what's wrong with it. Because it got banned in PlayStore not in browser.

I’m in junior high, so I’m more than certified to answer this question. I don’t have Tik Tok (fun fact: I used to have musical.ly and I had about 600 followers on there) but I know enough about it to write an answer on it.

There is so much going on in our world right now, so Tik Tok serves a good distraction from it all.

 

People around my age are more likely to follow what’s popular and trending, so it makes sense we’re using Tik Tok. In order to feel cool and fit in more, Tik Tok is an app that many people have to be on top of everything.

 

You can use it to make funny videos and memes, use it to lipsync and dance to songs, like to share what they’re doing, etc. It’s a multipurpose app not just used for lipsyncing and dancing.

 

There are lots of famous Tik Tok dances and some of them are famous (ex. the “renegade’) and can be addictive and catchy. I don’t even use Tik Tok, yet I know a few dances because of how popular they are.

 

There has been a flood of memes and funny videos made on Tik Tok because, in a way, you can use it similarly to Vine.
